Learn more about The CYP Services

We’re a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we reinvest every penny into making mental health support more accessible. This includes free therapy sessions and community events for those who need it most.

Whether you're here for yourself or someone you care for, our mission is simple:

To provide accessible, high-quality mental health support.

Why We Exist

Accessing mental health support should be simple. The CYP Services was created to make therapy affordable and accessible.

Here’s how we do things differently:

Blending private and funded counselling options

Partnering with schools, organisations and services to increase access and early intervention

Offering in-person and online therapy

Supporting family and community mental health

Integrating families into therapy

Offering reduced therapy fees for parents, carers and frontline professionals

Our Vision

We aim to leave a legacy of empowered minds, stronger families and connected communities. That’s why we’re working towards a future where:

  • Therapy is accessible to all, regardless of income or background

  • Mental health conversations are open, honest, and stigma-free

  • Families and communities feel empowered and supported

We believe mental health doesn’t exist in isolation. When a child or young person struggles, their wider support system often feels it, too.

For under-18s, we work closely with families and key adults. For over-18s, we offer a more independent space, while still recognising the role of key people in their lives and communities.

Founding Director

A message from Rickiesha Williams, MBACP

Hey, I started The CYP Services after seeing how often people are let down by overstretched or hard-to-access support. What began as a small private practice naturally grew into a community-focused organisation that could meet individual needs and give back to communities. As an integrative counsellor, my approach is trauma-informed and relational. Simply put, I use different counselling approaches to build a safe, steady space that centres my clients' needs. Working with me is collaborative: we explore what sits beneath the worries and focus on practical steps that genuinely help in everyday life. I also work from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, focusing on strengths, relationships, and support needs rather than labels. Thank you for choosing The CYP Services as part of your mental health journey.
